My name is Jake Goldson. Over the years I have developed a passion and love for the outdoors and the natural wonders of our world, and now I want to bring it all to you.
After college, I traveled to Israel, my birthplace, on a one-way ticket and fell in love with the culture, the people, and the land. I soon found myself in the Israel Defense Forces. The grind of rigorous training and overcoming immense obstacles paved the way for building my competence and confidence in the outdoors. I discovered that I am a natural walker and am most comfortable with a large pack on my back. (This can also perhaps be attributed to my years spent as a caddy). A long-distance hiker was born.

After my nearly three-year-service, I worked for a year in a restaurant as a line cook, eventually becoming kitchen manager. I honed my culinary skills and uncovered another passion of mine. Creating a food experience for my clients that is healthy, hearty, and gourmet is one life’s greatest pleasures for me.
I then proceeded to the tourism industry and found myself as a junior tour operator at Kenes Tours in Tel Aviv. I was learning the ropes from tour operators who had been in the business for 30+ years and creating incredible experiences for Americans visiting the Holy Land. I was living a dream for about 6 months until it was brought to a screeching halt in March 2020 thanks to the chaos of the pandemic. After moving back to the States, I got involved in the world of Kosher Private Travel, working to facilitate private vacations for Kosher clients and their specific needs.
In the summer of 2021, I embarked on the highlight of my life so far. I set out to hike the Pacific Crest Trail and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and the incredible beauty it has to offer. Hiking solo, for the most part, through Washington and Oregon was like waking up every day and living in a postcard.
Since doing the PCT, I have hiked all over the United States, the most challenging trails being in the Rockies and the Tetons. As my friends and community learned of my passion, they have asked me to help plan their own adventures and even that I guide them on the trails. I realized this was my dream job, and the idea for Over N’ Out was born.
While I run Over N’ Out myself, I have a team of outdoorsmen, guides, and chefs available to accommodate any size group or dietary needs. Allow me to help you see the incredible beauty our world has to offer by taking away the stress and worry of planning so you can enjoy this world with the peace of mind you deserve.
